Fahrenheit 451 - Book Review

Books being burnt by the Authority, the protagonist - himself a book-burning employee of the Authority - steals and reads a book. With this event follows a murder, a manhunt, another murder, and unrelatedly (or perhaps relatedly), the destuction of his city. With the rise of social media and the decline of the book-reading population, this book may be more relevant today then when it was during the rise of TV dinners-on-a-tray. With the current censorship of media in the form of allowing certain narratives to reign over other minority voices, this book warns us of a future that already may be all too near.
